Overview

Making the future of broadcasting impossible to ignore

Every year, thousands of broadcast and media professionals fill the Las Vegas Convention Center for NAB Show.

For LTN, the stakes at NAB 2026 were especially high. An upcoming FCC auction is shrinking the satellite spectrum the industry has relied on for decades. LTN's IP network offered a proven alternative. BOL needed to turn that story into an event experience no one could walk past.

The Challenge

Breaking years of broadcaster inertia

Research and conversations with the LTN team surfaced a hard truth. Satellite has run the industry for decades, and switching infrastructure is a big decision even with the market shifting underneath it. Engineering, operations, and finance all had to sign off.

Most broadcasters hadn't yet connected the C-band auction timeline to their own transition planning. LTN needed broadcasters to see it as the proven replacement, backed by performance data rather than promises.

NAB is the industry's largest annual gathering, which gave LTN one high-visibility window to plant that flag in front of the accounts that mattered most.

The mandate was simple. Build an experience urgent enough to cut through NAB's noise and clear enough that a walk through the booth left broadcasters with one conclusion: the switch to LTN is no longer optional, and it's easier than they think.

The Theme

At last, an A+ alternative to C-band

Every campaign needs one line that carries the whole argument. For LTN's NAB presence, that line was At last, an A+ alternative to C-band.

The line puts the spotlight on the alternative. Broadcasters had heard about the C-band auction for years. What they lacked was proof a switch was worth making, and this line supplied it. Every element of the booth built out from there, around the theme of moving off satellite and onto LTN's IP network.

The Strategy

Bringing the theme to life at every touchpoint

BOL led the full on-site experience for LTN at NAB, from booth design through the sales tools and event programming that supported it.

1. A booth built around the transition off satellite

BOL designed the full booth footprint, turning the theme into walls, stations, and props visitors could walk through in order.

  • A physical LTN gateway on display beside a to-scale mockup of the satellite equipment it replaces, letting visitors see for themselves just how much smaller and simpler the IP alternative is.
  • One interior wall grounded the transition in the calendar: Satellite capacity is shrinking. Are you ready? It laid out the auction timeline, from the spectrum reduction terms to the auction date to the multi-year transition window, giving broadcasters context for why the timing mattered now.
  • Four themed demo stations gave each type of visitor a reason to stop: Live Sports, Extreme Scalability, Satellite to IP, and OpEx Savings.
  • A hospitality station and conference room carried the same visual system, so a quick demo and a sit-down engineering discussion reinforced the same message.
  • An overhead structure and branded surfaces, including the line Fulfill your wildest streams, made the booth visible from across the show floor.

2. A sales narrative built to travel beyond the booth

BOL built LTN's NAB sales deck and leave-behind sales sheets, translating the booth's stats and positioning into a narrative the sales team could carry into every meeting long after the show floor closed.

3. A satellite-replacement breakfast to force the conversation

Rather than waiting for broadcasters to wander into the booth, BOL helped LTN take the message directly to its target accounts with an invite-only breakfast session focused on the satellite-to-IP transition.

The breakfast gave LTN's most important accounts a deeper version of the argument the booth made on the show floor, with room to work through questions a two-minute booth conversation couldn't cover.

4. Videos produced for the event and post-event

BOL produced video content for the booth's demo station screens, including a piece built to land LTN's performance stats in a format made for a fast-moving show floor.

After the show, BOL shot and edited a post-event video series featuring LTN's Colin Moran, breaking down the capabilities behind the booth's message, from source acquisition partnerships and platform integrations to LTN Playout's cloud-based, no-CapEx model. BOL promoted the series across LinkedIn and X to keep the NAB conversation alive after the show floor closed.

Results

More traffic. More meetings. More momentum.

LTN's NAB presence delivered the floor traffic and engagement the moment called for.

  • Booth traffic outpaced the previous year's show, leading to 56% more sales meetings.
  • Impressions up 79%, clicks up 120%, conversions up 180% year over year
  • The satellite-replacement breakfast sold out and booth sessions were standing room only.
Why This Event Promotion Worked

It made the transition tangible. Broadcasters could see the alternative for themselves, from the gateway on the show floor to the stats on the wall, instead of just hearing LTN describe it.

It let proof do the talking. 99.9999% availability. Sub-200ms latency. Up to 60% OpEx savings. The stats did more work than any tagline could, and they were visible everywhere a visitor looked.

It gave every buyer a way in. Four demo stations meant an engineer, a sports rights buyer, and a finance stakeholder each found their own way into the same argument.

It extended beyond the show floor. The breakfast, the sales deck, and the post-event video series extended the moment before and after the show floor was open, turning three days into a longer sales motion.

It stayed consistent everywhere. Booth walls, demo stations, sales sheets, and videos carried the same message and visual system, so every touchpoint reinforced the last.
